My name is Peggy and I live in beautiful Calgary Alberta Canada.
I have raised four wonderful daughters which was more than enough to keep my sewing skills honed as I sewed not only for them, but for their Cabbage Patch kids!
I am now blessed with eight gandchildren, three of which are girls. The youngest granddaughter has been taking ballet lessons in our community since she was two and just loves it!
While shopping for ballet class skirts, we discovered that there just isn't much variety in the usual haunts aka department stores, so taking up the challenge, I created my very first practice skirt. It was a hit with Sarah, and since it wasn't too flouncy or poofy, it was a hit with her teacher. It wasn't long before I found some new fabric that would just be lovely for dance class. Sarah agreed and was delighted to own 2 more tutus.
Halloween came and with it her very first black and orange spiderweb tutu.
Time has passed and Sarah is not only in Ballet and Dance class, she is my top Quality Control Expert. I've learned what does and doesn't last when a three-now-four year old is involved!
And she is learning that she isn't the owner of every tutu Gramma makes!
My little skirts are well stitched and should last a very long time. She'll probably outgrow it before she wears it out!!
I've added the flouncy poofy whimsical all tulle tutus that are quite popular because life isn't all just dance class. They are great for studio portraits or a trip to the mall!!
Have fun shopping for your own little Princess!!
